Associated Student Council

The purpose of Student Government is to promote the general welfare of the student body; to provide programs of educational, cultural, recreational and social value to the college community; to promote communication among administration, faculty, staff and students; to meet the responsibilities of self government; to assure students' rights as stated in the "statement of students' rights"; to provide students with an organization through which their concerns on matters affecting them are voiced within a representative and democratic governance; and to bring new policies to the SCC campus using professionalism and ethical and responsible decision-making.

Student Activities Council

The Student Activities Council is a team of student leaders who sponsor a wide variety of campus activities and events to educate and entertain students. These programs create opportunities for development of communication and leadership skills and enhance social interaction with students, faculty and the community. Funding for these programs is provided through quarterly Service and Activities fees paid by students. The SAC is comprised of seven members, including the Chairmperson, Director of Administrative Services, Promotions Coordinator, and four programmers. All members work as a team to make life on campus fun and very enjoyable.
