2009 Award Winner
Kellogg Community College's Vice President for Instruction, Dr. Dennis Bona, was named as the
2009 recipient of the National Council for Learning Resources' (NCLR) Administrative Leadership Award. Announced at
the April AACC meeting in Phoenix, AZ, Dr. Bona received his award from Martha Stillwell at a ceremony at Kellogg
Community College on April 16.

NCLR Administrative Leadership Award Nominations Sought
The Scholarship/Awards Committee of the National Council for Learning Resources is seeking nominations
for the 2010 NCLR Administrative Leadership Award. This award, which began in 1994, honors a community college
administrator whose efforts have resulted in significant support for a library/learning resources program.
Presentation of the NCLR Administrative Leadership Award has become a highlight of the annual convention of
the American Association of Community Colleges. The recipient receives a commemorative award and a $500
scholarship for his/her institution. Dr. Ronald Drayton, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Midlands
Technical College, Columbia, South Carolina was the 2008 recipient and Dr. Dennis Bona, Vice President at
Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, MI was the 2009 recipient.
We hope you will consider nominating an administrative colleague for the 2010 award which will be presented
in Seattle, WA in April 2010. Only NCLR members may nominate an individual deserving of this
