Winter Wine Dinner
We are excited to present a fabulous 4 course meal featuring the cuisine of INCA star graduate Dan Bower. Dan is the chef @ 98twenty, a new restaurant concept by the owners of Twigs Bistros. Chef Bower is known for pushing the culinary envelope and creating new and innovative dishes. we are thrilled to showcase his culinary talent at our wine dinner. In addition, we are featuring the wines from Latah Creek Winery, and winemakers Mike Conway and his daughter Natalie, to talk about their wines and winery. Mike and his wife Ellena have been long time supporters of INCA for years. Latah Creek is one of the oldest and most succesful wineries in the Spokane region and one of the first in the country to offer personalized labels for their customers. Natalie has added a new dimension to their wines and we are honored to have the Conway family as our guests. The Winter Wine Dinner is one of INCA's most popular events and tickets sell out very quickly. Janet has reserved an Alumni Table, tickets cost is $70 per person and prepayment is required.

"King of Corn"
Filmmaker Curt Ellis will introduce the documentary he made with Ian Cheney, his best friend from college, about an acre of corn they planted in Iowa.
With the help of their neighbors, genetically modified seeds, and herbicides, the men planted and grew one acre of corn in the same northern Iowa county where their great-grandfathers lived 80 years prior.
They try to follow the corn they raised through the food system, which makes them concerned about how Americans eat and farm. They find that almost everything people eat contains corn, including high-fructose corn syrup, corn-fed meat and corn-based processed foods, and they become alarmed about the subsidized crops’ link to their generation’s bulging waistlines and obesity.
The film will be shown at 7 p.m. on Jan. 23 and 24 at the Magic Lantern Theater, 25 W. Main Ave. in Spokane.
Ellis and filmmaker Caitlin Boyle will introduce the film and host an audience question-and-answer session afterward. The cost is $8.
Stay posted for a meetup time!!
