Art 109 - Renaissance/Baroque Art (5 credits) History of the development of major and minor arts from the early Renaissance through the 18th century. Through illustrated lectures and individual research the student will explore the work of individual artists, observe the changing role of the artist in his/her society, note the support systems of art patronage, and attempt to assess the aesthetics of the given period or style.
